TCU place-kicker Nick Browne has been selected as the Conference USA Special Teams Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 15, the conference office announced Monday.

Browne earns the league’s Special Teams Player of the Week honors for a Conference USA-record fifth time in one season and for the ninth time in his career. He earned this week’s award after accounting for a school-record 19 points by a kicker in TCU’s 43-10 win over Cincinnati. He tied the school and conference marks by converting all five of his field goal attempts. He was successful from 23, 45, 22, 35 and 34 yards out. He also made all four of his extra point attempts.

For the season, Browne has hit on 23-of-26 field goal attempts, including 18 of his last 19 tries, is six-of-seven from beyond 40 yards, and has been successful on all 32 of his extra point opportunities. He is tied for the nation's lead with an average of 2.30 field goals made per game and is eighth in the country in scoring, averaging 10.10 points per game.

Browne and the rest of the nationally-ranked and undefeated Horned Frogs will be in action again on Thursday, when they travel to Hattiesburg, Mississippi to take on the Southern Miss Golden Eagles in a game that will decide the Conference USA title. The game will be televised by ESPN with Mike Tirico, Kirk Herbstreit and Lee Corso describing the action.
