New
officers of the Student Government Association were sworn in Tuesday
at the Dee J. Kelly Alumni and Visitors Center.
I
think its a great honor and a great responsibility because
we are serving the TCU community, said Dining Services Chairwoman
Corrie Lockhart,
a freshman advertising/public relations major.
The
keynote speaker was TCUs librarian Bob Seal, who encouraged
students to volunteer.
I
am pleased to be able to share my thoughts with the student body
on community service, which is Brad (Thompsons) theme for
the year, Seal said.
Thompson,
SGA president, said he plans to focus on service throughout the
year, encouraging students to get involved in the community outside
TCU.
A tribute
to the football, soccer and volleyball teams was included in the
ceremony.
Thompson,
a junior radio-TV-film major, said the athletes were recognized
because they work hard and do a good job representing TCU in the
United States and abroad.
