Announcements of campus events, public meetings and other general campus information should be brought to the TCU Daily Skiff office at Moudy Building South, Room 291, mailed to TCU Box 298050 or e-mailed to skiffletters@tcu.edu. Deadline for receiving announcements is 2 p.m. the day before they are to run. The Skiff reserves the right to edit submissions for style, taste and space available.

TCU/RetroFest Film Series will present “The Manchurian Candidate” (1962) at 7 p.m. today in Moudy Building South, Room 164. The film is presented by the radio-TV-film department.

TCU Symphony Orchestra, Choral Ensembles and guest alumni will perform the “Brahms Requiem” from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday in the Ed Landreth Hall Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public. For more information call (817) 257-7602.

TCU Toastmasters will have its weekly meeting from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Student Center, Room 211. All students, faculty and staff who are interested in improving their public speaking skills are invited to attend. For more information call Steve Savage at (817) 257-6703.

Infinityfest, a lecture by Ken Richardson, will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Winton-Scott Hall, Room 171. Food will be provided. Prizes will be given for best costume, best infinity question and the best funny sentence with the word “infinity.”

The Kino Monda International Film Series will present “Children of Heaven” (Iran/1997) at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Sid Richardson Building, Lecture Hall 1. All films in the series are free and open to the public.

Meals on Wheels is looking for volunteers and a coordinator to deliver meals from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursdays to homebound elderly and disabled in a community near campus. Training will be provided. For more information call Bea Nealy at (817) 257-7830.

The Health Center wants to inform students about the meningococcal vaccine (Menomune) available from 1 to 4 p.m. Fridays at the Health Center. The vaccine costs about $75.

Correction: The article about the Oui Lounge fire in the Oct. 25 issue of the Skiff should have read Maudie Katovich, daughter of Caro’s owners, said the lounge is a traditional watering hole for TCU students and a stop on their barhopping track.
