Announcements of campus events, public meetings and other general campus information should be brought to the TCU Daily Skiff office at Moudy Building South, Room 291, mailed to TCU Box 298050 or e-mailed to skiffletters@tcu.edu. Deadline for receiving announcements is 2 p.m. the day before they are to run. The Skiff reserves the right to edit submissions for style, taste and space available.

Golden Key National Honor Society will have information tables for perspective members set up from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today in the Student Center.

Voting for the 2000 Mr. and Ms. TCU will be from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. today at (vote.tcu.edu). Students will need their TCU ID number and FrogNet pin number to vote. If the Web site can’t be accessed today, voting can also be done between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the Student Center Information Desk for assistance.

The Kino Monda International Film series will present “Fires on the Plain” (Japan/1959) at 8 p.m. today in Sid Richardson Lecture Hall 1. All films in the series are free and open to the public. The audience is invited to stay for an informal “coffee house” after the screening.

The American Cancer Society is looking for volunteers. Volunteers are matched with specific jobs, depending upon their skills, interests and time availability. The greatest need in Tarrant County is for cancer survivors and bilingual volunteers. For more information call (817) 737-9990.

The Health Center wants to inform students about the meningococcal vaccine (Menomune) available from 1 to 4 p.m. Fridays at the Health Center. The vaccine costs about $75.
