Neeley Student Resource Center and Career Services will be hosting “We want you to graduate ... and get a job” 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 24-25 in the Tandy Hall Atrium. NSRC will provide information on how to graduate and Career Services will have resources on learning how to find a job. Snacks will be provided.

 

Howdy Week Activities: A Merchants Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 23-25 in the Student Center Lounge. IFC Rush Forum will be 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 23 at Frog Fountain. “The Wizard of Oz” will be shown as the outdoor movie from 9 to 11 p.m. Aug. 23 at Frog Fountain. An Activities Carnival will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 24 at Frog Fountain. A Residence Hall Dance featuring Stampede and live disc jockey music will be from 8 to 11 p.m. Aug. 24 in the Student Center Ballroom.

 

Fort Worth Men’s Chorus will participate in “Dining for Life,” a benefit for the AIDS Outreach Center of Fort Worth, 6:30 p.m. Aug. 22 at Don Felipe’s (4216 W. Vickery). Rehearsals for the 2000-2001 season will be 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Aug. 29 in the Law-Sone Auditorium on the Texas Wesleyan University campus. More information is available at www.fwmc.org.

 

The Women’s Shelter will have volunteer training 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 11, 14, 18 and 21 at the Arlington Human Services Building Conference Room. Potential volunteers must complete an application and interview prior to the training session. Interview dates are Aug. 21 - Sept. 6. The American Cancer Society is looking for volunteers. Volunteers are matched with specific jobs, depending upon their skills, interests and time availability.
