Bitter fan begs for support of womens basketball
Wonderful job, TCU Athletics, you sold out the TCU/Texas
Tech mens game. Unfortunately, I had to work Wednesday
so I missed out on the ticket giveaway. So, this is
a plea a plea that everyone who picked up a ticket
for the game will go to the womens game against
Wisconsin-Green Bay. The 20th-ranked Lady Frogs deserve
your support, even more than Bobby Knight deserves your
boos at the nightcap.
When the Lady Frogs won the 2001 Western Athletic Conference
Championship in Tulsa, I was there. When they upset
nationally-ranked Penn State in the opening round of
the NCAA Tournament, I was there. Throughout the 2001-02
Conference-USA regular season domination, my wife and
I were there. But Dec. 3, we will not be there. Why?
Because we dont have a ticket to the mens
game.
Yes, Im bitter. Bitter because I dont think
everyone with tickets to the mens game will show
for the womens game. Prove me wrong people, please
prove me wrong.
And, TCU Athletics, if youll reconsider and let
me in to the womens game with just an ID, Ill
wear a bright yellow or blaze orange shirt so you can
identify me in order to escort me from the building
at the end of the womens game. I wouldnt
be hard to find because I would be the fat guy screaming
my head off during the whole game for the Lady Frogs
just as I have been for the past two seasons.
