Cross country teams to compete in Regionals

The TCU men’s and women’s cross country teams will travel to Waco this weekend to participate in the NCAA South Central Regional Championships. The women's 6K race starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday followed by the men's 10K race at 10:15.

The TCU women are coming off a fifth place finish at the Conference USA Championships. They are led by C-USA Freshman of the Year Alayne Thompson, who placed sixth at the C-USA meet. The women’s team also comprises of freshmen Katie Cosgrove, Heather Isbell and Katrina Zielinski, along with junior Shannon McKinney.

The TCU men will not compete for the team title, as only three Horned Frogs, sophomore Steven Lenney and freshmen Brad Maciulewicz and Case Martinec will compete for the individual title.
