Volleyball team loses last two home matches

The TCU volleyball team (11-16, 3-8 Conference USA) was swept over the weekend, falling to Cincinnati and Louisville.

Friday night, the Bearcats and the Frogs played relatively even for three of the four games. However, the Bearcats responded to each Frog challenge, especially in the fourth stanza. After the Frogs had rallied to within one point of Cincinnati at 23-22, the Bearcats seemed determined not to let victory slip away.

Saturday night, however, was a different story as the Frogs were simply never in the second match of the weekend.

Despite a good night digging the ball, head coach Prentice Lewis said there are several things the team still needs to work on, including serving the ball.

Despite the two defeats, the Frogs will play in the post-season for the first time since 1998. However their seeding won’t be determined until after the team visits East Carolina and Charlotte this next weekend.

The Frogs could finish as high as ninth or as low as twelfth, depending on the outcome of this weekend’s matches.
